JOB DESCRIPTION - Experienced Tax Associate

Fouts & Morgan is a regional firm of CPAs and business advisors based in Memphis, Tennessee and incorporated in 1970 with founders Jimmie D. Fouts and Don W. Morgan. We offer tax, accounting, advisory, and assurance services. We specialize in the areas of construction, entertainment, financial services, not-for-profit, education, and professional services and the small to mid-size businesses.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations and individuals
Assist or lead tax planning and tax research projects across multiple industries
Develop tax compliance knowledge and assist with IRS audits, tax notice response, trust returns, gift and estate returns
Participate in client assignments from beginning to end
Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships
Provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness and commitment to understanding their goals and needs
Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
CPA or CPA candidate; EA also accepted
Internship or prior experience in accounting or related field preferred
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and tax project management skills, including basic knowledge of GAAP, taxation compliance, codes and regulations
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results-driven team oriented environment
