    Description

    Finance & Tax Manager

    Private Family Office

    A private family office is seeking a Finance & Tax Manager to build and oversee its finance and tax function. Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands-on role with significant exposure to senior leadership and outside advisors.


    Responsibilities

    • Oversee tax compliance for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and other entities.
    • Manage external tax advisors and review tax returns, K-1s, and supporting schedules.
    • Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidated reporting across multiple entities.
    • Manage intercompany accounting, capital accounts, cash activity, and distributions.
    • Develop and maintain financial models, reporting packages, and Board materials.
    • Build accounting, close, tax, and reporting processes from the ground up.
    • Establish and maintain the accounting and financial infrastructure for a growing family office.
    • Partner with legal, tax, and investment advisors on entity structuring and related matters.


    Qualifications

    • CPA required.
    • 5–10 years of relevant accounting and tax experience.
    • Strong experience with partnerships, trusts, K-1s, and multi-entity structures.
    • Experience with consolidated financial reporting and intercompany accounting.
    • International/cross-border tax experience preferred.
    • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
    • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, build-from-scratch environment.


    Preferred

    • Family office, private client, Big Four, or trust experience.
    • Real estate partnership experience.
    • Yardi experience.
    • Experience building finance processes or infrastructure from the ground up.


    Ideal Candidate: A hands-on CPA who can manage both technical tax matters and financial reporting while building scalable processes in a lean, entrepreneurial family office environment.
