Tax Manager

Tax Manager – Cincinnati, OH

A well-respected Cincinnati-area CPA firm is adding a Tax Manager to its growing team. This is a chance to own a diverse client book, lead and develop staff, and work directly with business owners and individuals who value proactive planning, without the bureaucracy of a large national firm.

What You'll Do:

- Manage a portfolio of individual, partnership, S-corp, C-corp, and fiduciary tax engagements from planning through filing

- Review returns, workpapers, and projections prepared by staff and seniors

- Deliver proactive tax planning and consulting to closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals

- Research complex federal, state, and local tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly

- Respond to IRS and state notices and represent clients as needed

- Train, mentor, and coach staff and senior accountants

- Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and client relationships

What You Bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation a plus

- Active CPA license (or EA with strong public accounting background)

- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, including review responsibility

- Strong knowledge of individual and pass-through entity taxation

- Experience with professional tax software (CCH, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar)

- Excellent communication and client-service skills

Pay: $128,000 - $150,000 + bonus potential
