Tax Manager

Location: Parsippany, New Jersey area
Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000, depending on experience

About the Opportunity

A highly regarded, growing wealth management firm in North Jersey is looking for a Tax Manager to join its tax department. You'll do hands-on tax planning, compliance, and advisory work for high-net-worth individuals and families, supported by a dedicated tax preparation team, at a firm recognized as a great place to work.

What You'll Do

• Lead tax planning, compliance, and advisory work for high-net-worth clients
• Manage and review tax preparation for Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120-S
• Lead client meetings and provide strategic tax recommendations
• Collaborate with advisors and internal teams on federal and state tax compliance
• Analyze returns to find planning opportunities, efficiencies, and risks
• Research complex tax issues and prepare clear written guidance
• Mentor and train junior tax staff
• Handle special projects as needed

What You Bring

• Active CPA license (required)
• 8+ years as a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager in public accounting or wealth management
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
• Thorough knowledge of individual, trust, S-corp, and partnership taxation
• Experience managing an offshore or remote tax team preferred
• Experience with tax planning software such as Holistiplan preferred
• Strong attention to detail and time management
