Overview

A nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager in Niceville, Florida. You will provide final technical review on tax returns, lead client relationships and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide final technical review on tax returns and documents for the majority of the client base
• Research tax issues and develop resolutions and recommendations
• Stay current on developments and changes in tax law and accounting procedures
• Plan, organize and coordinate engagements and interface with clients to ensure all deadlines are met
• Direct and support staff activities, set budgets and monitor the quality of work and performance of personnel
• Assign, track and manage tasks and projects prepared by staff and supervisors, and take an active role in their development
• Build internal and external networks to develop new business opportunities
• Manage real-time and monthly billing and collections and monitor WIP, aging and write-downs
• Facilitate and participate in in-house CPE and training

Qualifications

• CPA, EA or JD required (CPA preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Well-developed decision-making skills and initiative
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and prioritize a heavy workload
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
