Description:Join our Finance/Tax resource group in Pittsburgh, PA, as a Senior Manager, US Tax in the Aerospace/Aviation/Defense industry. This role involves overseeing US tax compliance, coordinating domestic tax matters, and enhancing processes. Responsibilities include tax accounting, special assignments, and supporting internal controls compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage US income tax returns and domestic filings
• Compile tax and financial data for decision-making and strategic tax initiatives
• Provide analyses and recommendations to Senior leadership on US tax matters
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance for estimates, extensions, and forecasts
• Monitor tax law developments, design strategic tax initiatives, and update processes accordingly
• Support IRS and external audits, including preparing audit responses and maintaining documentation
• Assist with international aspects of US tax compliance
• Engage in domestic tax credit opportunities and analyze internal restructurings and M&A activities
• Manage gain/loss calculations and basis studies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
• Minimum 10 years of corporate income tax experience
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship not available
• Preferred: CPA, Masters in Taxation, or J.D.
• Prior experience managing a tax team
• Willingness to self-educate
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Corptax products
• Familiarity with ERP software, ideally Oracle and Smartview
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a big-picture understanding
• Team player with self-confidence, motivation, and ability to work independently
