Overview

One of the largest and fastest-growing national accounting and advisory firms is seeking a Tax Manager for its private client services practice, serving family-owned and closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. You will oversee multiple client engagements, review complex returns, manage staff and conduct research. The firm follows a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise and develop associates and seniors
• Prepare and review returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and other entities for accuracy and compliance
• Build strong client relationships and maintain relationships with firm leadership
• Take responsibility for accurate time and billing for self and team
• Develop a working knowledge of each client’s business and meet client deadlines
• Pursue new client relationships and participate in client seminars and networking
• Stay current on tax law and regulatory changes and collaborate with other tax professionals across the firm

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field
• 4+ years of tax compliance and/or consulting experience in public accounting (or a public/corporate mix)
• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent certification required
• Master's in Taxation and GoSystem or CCH Axcess experience preferred
