Tax Manager | St. Louis, MO

We're currently partnered with a well-established and highly regarded public accounting firm in the St. Louis area that is looking to add a Tax Manager to their growing team.

This firm has built a strong reputation over the years for delivering high-quality service while maintaining a collaborative, people-first culture. They're seeking a leader who can step in, take ownership, and play a key role in both client relationships and team development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, and trust)
  • Providing strategic tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client base
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for clients and building long-term relationships
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing tax staff and seniors
  • Managing multiple engagements while ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance
  • Staying current on tax regulations and advising clients accordingly
  • Contributing to business development and firm growth initiatives

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA required
  • 10+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Strong technical knowledge across a variety of tax areas
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Experience with CCH (Axcess, Practice Management, Workstream) preferred
