    The Tax Manager is a key member of the Tax team responsible for income tax provision and financial statement disclosures, U.S. and international tax compliance, transfer pricing, global tax planning, SOX controls, and indirect tax compliance. The role maintains and improves processes, performs monthly account reconciliations, monitors U.S. and international tax law changes, and researches complex issues to ensure ongoing compliance.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the preparation and review of the Company’s quarterly and annual tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740.
    • Assist in the preparation and review of federal and state income tax return filings, including coordinating with internal teams and external advisors.
    • Manage, prepare, and review transaction tax filings, including sales & use tax, value-added taxes, unclaimed property, and other non-income-based taxes.
    • Assist in performing and documenting internal controls to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance.
    • Assist in resolving tax audits and notices issued by tax authorities.
    • Research tax issues and draft memoranda to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws.
    • Monitor and assess changes in U.S. and international tax law.
    • Assist in improving, maintaining, and developing all tax-related processes.
    • Manage and assist outside consultants for various projects as needed.
    • Act as a resource to other functional departments of the Company seeking tax advice.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    The following are the minimum requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
    • CPA preferred.
    • Minimum of 7+ years of directly related tax experience in a public accounting and/or publicly traded multinational corporate environment.
    • Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate/present in a clear and effective manner across all levels of the Company.
    • Demonstrates a hands-on approach and willingness to take on challenging projects both within and outside of tax.
    • Able to effectively handle and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
    • Ability to build collaborative working relationships across the organization.

Focused on cost and process efficiencies, we deliver innovative technologies and solutions that help set new standards in bioprocessing. The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $130,000 - $172,500. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
