Tax Senior

**Tax Senior — Syracuse, NY** Pay: $85,000 - $115,000 + bonus potential A well-respected regional CPA and advisory firm in Central New York is looking for a Tax Senior to join its growing tax practice. You'll take ownership of engagements, work directly with business owners and families, and build toward management with real mentorship and a clear path forward. What You'll Do: - Prepare and review individual, partnership, S-corp, C-corp, and trust returns - Take the lead on multiple engagements and keep them moving toward deadlines - Research federal, state, and local tax questions and recommend practical solutions - Support managers and partners on tax planning and projections for closely held businesses - Review work prepared by staff and help train and coach junior team members - Communicate directly with clients on compliance, planning, and notice responses What You Bring: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - 3+ years of public accounting tax experience - CPA or EA, or actively pursuing either - Solid understanding of individual and pass-through entity taxation - Experience with CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar software - Strong organization and client-service skills Why Join: - Competitive base salary plus bonus potential - Medical, dental, and vision coverage - 401(k) with employer match - Generous PTO and paid holidays - Hybrid/flexible scheduling with reasonable busy-season hours - CPA exam support, CPE, and paid professional dues - Clear path to Tax Manager Interested?
