Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 + Bonus

Join a Top 60 CPA firm experiencing significant growth and looking to add a talented Tax Senior / Tax Supervisor to its Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity for a public accounting professional seeking increased client exposure, leadership responsibilities, and a clear path for long-term career advancement.

As a Tax Senior / Tax Supervisor, you'll play a key role in tax engagements, review returns and workpapers, mentor junior staff, and work closely with managers and partners to deliver exceptional client service across a diverse client base.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review tax returns for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
• Review work prepared by associates and provide coaching and technical guidance.
• Participate in tax planning, research, and consulting engagements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted resource.
• Mentor and support the professional development of junior team members.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on client service initiatives and special projects.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local tax regulations and industry developments.

Qualifications

• CPA license or CPA eligibility required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3-7 years of public accounting experience
• Currently spending 70% or more of your time reviewing tax returns and workpapers
• Strong technical tax knowledge and understanding of various entity types

Nice to Have

• Generalist tax background
• Experience serving High-Net-Worth (HNW) individuals
• Experience with flow-through entities including partnerships and S corporations
