We have an immediate opening in our Irvine Office for a Senior Tax Accountant to perform tax, financial and consulting engagements.  This is a unique opportunity for an individual who shares our vision and is seeking to build a career in a positive,innovative, local CPA firm.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years experience working in a public accounting firm.   Candidate will be responsible for the preparation of corporation, partnership and individual tax returns, planning and consulting, and compilation or review financial statement engagements. Candidate will also help mentor and train staff-level team members. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of individual/corporate/partnership tax returns
• Tax Planning
• Tax Research
• Consultation and analysis of client financial data and accounting/tax issues
• Preparation of work papers & spreadsheets
• Review of and response to correspondence from the IRS or other governmental agencies

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting
• CPA license or CPA candidate
• Diligent work ethic and strong client engagement skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills – attention to detail a must
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects to meet project deadlines and budgets while working for multiple managers
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks a must; Lacerte or ProSystems accounting software, a plus
