Job Details

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corps, C corps, and trusts/estates
• Perform tax research and resolve complex tax issues as they come up
• Assist with year round tax planning and consulting for clients
• Review work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and mentorship
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, proactive communication
• Coordinate multiple engagements simultaneously while hitting deadlines during busy season
• Collaborate directly with partners on planning opportunities and special projectsStay current on changes in federal and state tax law

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• Minimum 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience, with a focus on business and individual returns
• Strong experience or background in partnership, S corporation, and individual taxation
• Experience with trusts and estates is a plus, though not required
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and shifting priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent communication and client service skills, since this role has direct client contact
