Location: Savannah, GA

Overview

a long-established, nationally ranked regional CPA firm in the Southeast is seeking a Tax Senior to prepare and research complex individual and business returns and help develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex individual and business tax returns; estate and fiduciary experience is a plus
• Respond to tax notices and review payroll tax returns
• Draft research memos and develop preliminary conclusions for the engagement team
• Identify planning opportunities and risk-reduction ideas for clients
• Self-review work so it is complete and ready for review
• Train and delegate to interns and staff, giving timely feedback
• Communicate project status proactively with clients and the engagement team

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Accounting
• 2+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Solid understanding of tax codes, regulations, rulings and case law
• Experience with tax preparation, review and research software (ProSystem fx a plus)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with little supervision
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
