Teacher Assistant Worcester Head Start

Worcester Child Development Head Start is seeking a Teacher Assistant to join its Reggio Emilia-inspired program, where children''s curiosity drives learning and families are valued partners in the work. The program serves preschool children and their families throughout the city, with classrooms that reflect the many languages and cultures they bring. In partnership with the Teacher, the Teacher Assistant helps plan and carry out daily learning experiences that support children''s growth and curiosity. This role also involves supporting children''s care and self-help skills throughout the day, maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment, documenting each child''s growth, and helping build strong connections with families.

We are looking for a candidate with an Associate''s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, along with experience working with young children. The ideal candidate is collaborative, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional growth, and finds genuine delight in being alongside young children as they explore their world.
