About the Role:
Half Pint Day Care and Preschool in Lambertville, NJ is looking for a passionate and nurturing Teacher or Teacher Assistant to join our growing team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners in a warm, supportive early childhood environment.



Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that support early childhood development
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment for young children
• Monitor and support the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of each child
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily activities
• Assist lead teachers with classroom management and daily routines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning space in compliance with childcare regulations
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• Experience in early childhood education, daycare, or preschool settings preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff
• Ability to obtain or currently holds required NJ childcare certifications or clearances
• Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic about working with young children
• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education a plus
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
