POSITION SUMMARY Provide high-quality virtual instruction in English II aligned to Texas TEKS and STAAR EOC standards within the HISD Virtual Launchpad program. Design and deliver rigorous synchronous and asynchronous instruction that supports student mastery of reading comprehension, analytical writing, literary analysis, and critical thinking skills. Monitor student engagement and academic progress, provide timely and actionable feedback, and collaborate with program leadership to ensure instructional fidelity, compliance with district and TEA requirements, and measurable academic growth in a structured virtual learning environment.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES List most important duties first

  1. Deliver rigorous English II instruction aligned to TEKS and STAAR EOC standards in a blended virtual model (synchronous and asynchronous).

  2. Design and adapt curriculum for virtual delivery, including digital learning modules, assessments, and performance tasks.

  3. Provide live virtual instruction according to program schedule.

  4. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including students receiving accommodations and modifications.

  5. Monitor student attendance, engagement, and academic progress.

  6. Provide weekly tutorials, office hours, and targeted interventions.

  7. Support students in preparation for English II STAAR EOC assessment.

  8. Collaborate with graduation coaches and counselors to support student success.

  9. Analyze student performance data to inform instructional adjustments.

  10. Maintain documentation for ADA and compliance requirements.
