About the Role:
The 1st Step Nursery & DCC Inc in Fort Lee, NJ is looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher's Aide to join our nurturing early childhood team! Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate classroom activities and lesson plans
• Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development throughout the school day
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and transitions
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Provide individualized attention and support to children as needed
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding child progress and daily activities
• Follow all childcare center policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Prior experience working with young children in a daycare, nursery, or school setting is a plus
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain a safe and structured classroom environment
• Must meet NJ state childcare licensing requirements, including background checks
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
