Give a Beat | Part-time, Los Angeles As a Give a Beat (GAB) Teaching Artist (TA), you are an educator, artist, culture-builder, and trusted representative of Give a Beat in prisons, juvenile halls, schools, and community programs. You bring expertise in DJing and music production while creating learning environments where participants can develop creative skills, agency, connection, and a sense of belonging.

This position consists of more than teaching classes. TA's are essential to building and maintaining the culture of Give a Beat. In addition to teaching, you will collaborate with other TAs and staff, communicate consistently, document your work, collect data, participate in GAB meetings and professional development, and help us continually learn from the people and communities we serve.

GAB recognizes that Teaching Artists bring valuable lived experience, cultural knowledge, artistic perspective, and relationships into our programs. We seek TAs who can bring those perspectives into our organization in ways that inform and improve our programs and culture while honoring the experiences and voices of participants.
