Position Summary

The Team Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and direction to production team members in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This position helps ensure that safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and continuous-improvement objectives are met while supporting employees and coordinating with supervisors and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate team members during assigned shifts.

• Monitor production activities and ensure work is performed according to standardized procedures.

• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with Gestamp safety and HSE requirements.

• Monitor product quality and promptly address quality issues or process deviations.

• Communicate production, quality, maintenance, and staffing issues to supervisors and other departments.

• Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities where applicable.

• Help meet production schedules and minimize downtime.

• Train, coach, and develop team members on work procedures, safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow company procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

• Previous leadership, team-lead, or supervisory experience preferred.

• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical documentation, and equipment information.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

• Ability to work flexible hours, shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.

• Basic computer skills.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
