About the Role:

This is a leadership role, not a senior Budtender role.

6 Brick's is a premier Springfield dispensary with high daily customer volume, and the Team Lead runs the floor. You will open and close the store, lead and coach Budtenders, keep transactions and inventory accurate, and keep the shift moving when it gets busy.

The job is both front of house and back of house. Some of your day is with customers and on the register. The rest is coaching, performance tracking, product and terpene education, inventory support, compliance, and the administrative work that keeps a dispensary running clean.

What You'll Do

Shift leadership

• Open and close the dispensary and run day-to-day floor operations
• Lead the store in the absence of senior management
• Manage shift coverage and respond to callouts
• Train and onboard new team members
• Make sound decisions under pressure and keep the team calm when it is busy

Coaching and accountability

• Oversee Budtender performance and monitor customer interactions
• Coach employees directly and provide input for performance evaluations
• Track write-ups related to uniform, performance and attendance
• Reinforce accountability, professionalism and adherence to policy
• Support employee development and product knowledge, including terpenes and cannabinoids

Operations, cash and compliance

• Manage cash handling, register reconciliation, safe counts and daily financial reporting
• Process returns and exchanges accurately
• Support inventory accuracy, receiving and cycle counts
• Follow bag-to-screen and scanning procedures precisely
• Maintain compliance with Massachusetts CCC regulations and company SOPs
• Handle customer complaints and escalations professionally

What We're Looking For

Required

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must pass all state-required background checks and CCC badging
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience as a Team Lead, Shift Lead, Supervisor or similar leadership role
• Availability for closing shifts, weekends and holidays. Our busiest days include 4/20, Green Wednesday and Black Friday
• Strong math skills for cash handling and reconciliation
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Strongly preferred

• Cannabis industry experience
• Hands-on METRC experience
• Dutchie POS experience
• 1 to 3 years of retail supervisory experience
• Working knowledge of state and local regulatory guidance, with the ability to interface with the CCC if needed
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software
