Team Leader (2nd or 3rd Shift)

Location: Dubuque, IA
Pay: $40.00 - $43.00/hour
Type: Long Term Contract, W2
Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (1 opening)
• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 6:00 AM (1 opening)
• Some Saturday work required
• Overtime may be required based on production needs

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Team Leaders to support manufacturing operations in Dubuque, IA. This role is responsible for leading production employees, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring Safety, Quality, and Delivery objectives are consistently achieved. The Team Leader serves as the key link between production teams and management, driving performance, accountability, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production employees during assigned shifts.
• Ensure production schedules are executed safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Provide training, coaching, and development for team members.
• Monitor quality standards and troubleshoot production or workmanship issues.
• Assign daily work, manage staffing needs, and coordinate overtime requirements.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and leadership.
• Provide performance feedback and address employee concerns when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor workplace safety practices and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist with equipment uptime, maintenance planning, and operational performance goals.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Proven leadership or team lead experience in a production environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience working with manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with equipment programming, troubleshooting, or automation support.
• Background leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment & Safety

• Manufacturing facility environment.
• Metatarsal safety boots required on Day One.
• Prescription safety glasses required if applicable.
