Are you an inspiring Team Leader looking for a new challenge within North Yorkshire Council?
We are proud of our strong track record as a leading care service provider, and we are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to support our mission of helping people live longer, healthier, and more independent lives across Harrogate Home Support and Harrogate Day Services.
Harrogate Home Support has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality domiciliary care that promotes independence, choice and dignity within people's own homes. Harrogate Day Services supports adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to achieve positive outcomes, develop life skills and participate in meaningful activities within their local community.
We provide personalised care and support to adults of all ages, including those with physical, sensory and learning disabilities.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance and development of a team of Care and Support Workers. You will champion a culture of care and resilience, supporting your team's wellbeing, addressing challenges with empathy and determination, and creating an environment where every team member can thrive and deliver outstanding care.
Reporting directly to a Registered Manager, you will ensure that care and support delivered across both community-based and day service settings is safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led. Your leadership will be key to maintaining the high standards North Yorkshire Council is known for.
What We Are Looking For
Qualification Requirements
We are looking for candidates who hold an NVQ Level 3 or a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
However, if you currently hold a Level 2 qualification, don't let that hold you back, we will fully support you to achieve your Level 3 within 12 months of starting the role. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career while making a real difference in people's lives.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for experienced senior care staff who are looking to progress into management.
Why Join Us?
The service operates seven days a week and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in an evening and weekend rota. NYC pays a weekend working allowance of £30 per weekend shift worked.
If you are an individual with experience of working in Adult Social Care and/or the Health Sector, together with experience of managing staff we look forward to receiving your application.
