Essential Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create positive guest experiences.
• Accurately take customer orders and process transactions.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service.

Food Preparation & Quality

• Prepare food products according to Wendy's recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain food freshness, presentation, and portion control standards.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Ensure proper product holding times and temperatures are maintained.

Teamwork & Operations

• Work collaboratively with team members and management to achieve restaurant goals.
• Support restaurant operations in multiple areas, including front counter, drive-thru, dining room, and kitchen.
• Adapt quickly to changing business needs during peak operating hours.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Restaurant Cleanliness

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment.
• Clean and stock workstations, dining areas, restrooms, and equipment.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Help ensure the restaurant consistently meets company cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must possess all documents and permits required by federal, state, and local laws.

Preferred

• Previous restaurant, retail, or customer service experience.
• Food safety certification, where applicable.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the restaurant.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate restaurant equipment.
• Ability to work near hot cooking equipment and refrigeration units.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Work Environment

Team Members work in a fast-paced restaurant environment that requires frequent interaction with guests and fellow team members. Schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

The Wendy’s Story
First of all, yes, Wendy is a real person. And a pretty special one, being the daughter of our founder Dave Thomas. Today, she is one of the most involved and successful franchise owners in the Wendy’s enterprise. We think Dave would be proud. Back in 1969, he looked around at all other hamburger joints and was like, “Nah. People deserve better.” At the time, other quick-service restaurants were using frozen beef and mass-producing food. Not Dave. His approach of serving fresh, made-to-order hamburgers changed the game. And his can’t-stop-won’t-stop commitment to making customers happy drives everything we do today.
