QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid AL Educator Certification or alternate certification in middle level math or science or secondary math, science, computer science

• Teach approved math or science course in grades 6-12 full time

• Currently hold or plan to obtain an Advanced Credential from the National Institute for STEM Education (NISE) or the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS)-Early Adolescence or Adolescence and Young Adulthood Math or Science

• Such alternative to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable

• Employment pending acceptable background check
