Tech 1, Operations Facilities Maintenance - Facilities Cleaning Operator

Location: El Paso, TX 79912 | 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM-6:00 AM | $13.00/hr | Contractor

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, break rooms, cafeterias, restrooms, and common areas to BD standards.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties in production, warehouse, and support spaces following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors, walls, windows, and furniture.
• Collect and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and non-hazardous waste.
• Maintain outdoor spaces, including entrances, sidewalks, and parking lots.
• Replenish restroom and cafeteria supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Operate cleaning equipment (scrubbers, vacuums, buffers) safely and efficiently.
• Support site housekeeping audits, inspections, and ongoing improvement efforts.
• Promptly report facility maintenance issues, safety concerns, or spills.
• Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Uphold BD's core values, safety policies, and environmental regulations.

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities cleaning.
• Proficient in safely using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs; work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility environment.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Effective communication with colleagues at all levels.
