Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Java Lead Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise application development and a passion for AI driven engineering. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable microservices based solutions while driving the adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities using GitHub Copilot and modern AI frameworks.
Must Have
- 10+ years of hands on experience in Java application development.

- Microservices Architecture
- REST APIs
- Kafka/Event Driven Architecture
- Experience designing and building cloud native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, system design, scalability, and performance engineering.
- Hands on experience with GitHub Copilot and AI assisted software development practices.
- Experience conceptualizing, designing, and implementing Generative AI solutions using LLMs.
- Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), and AI application architecture.
- Experience leading technical teams, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineers.
Good to Have
- Experience building Agentic AI solutions using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
- Hands on experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar LLM platforms.
- Knowledge of Vector Databases and AI evaluation frameworks.
- Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Payments, Cards, Banking, or Financial Services domain experience, preferably Mastercard ecosystem exposure.
- Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI practices, and secure AI solution development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and development of enterprise scale Java applications.
- Drive modernization initiatives using microservices and cloud native technologies.
- Design and implement GenAI and Agentic AI solutions to enhance business processes and engineering productivity.
- Champion GitHub Copilot adoption and AI assisted SDLC best practices.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross functional teams to deliver high quality solutions.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the delivery lifecycle.
- This role is ideal for a seasoned Java engineering leader who combines strong backend engineering expertise with emerging Generative AI and Agentic AI solutioning capabilities.

Note: The pay range for this role is $110,000- $130,000 per annum USD including any bonuses or variable pay.
