As the Technical Accounting Manager, you will provide accounting support/oversight to the ScentAir leadership team. The Technical Accounting Manager applies the principles of accounting to ensure appropriate and accurate global internal and external financial reporting.

Your day-to-day...

  • Lead and actively participate in the monthly close process; coordinate close activities across functions
  • Being primarily responsible for the review and maintenance of US GAAP-compliant accounting policies and processes
  • Researching and providing technical accounting consultations for significant, complex, or non-routine transactions
  • Support the uplift of existing accounting processes to comply with best practice financial reporting requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
  • Review and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage financial statement audits.
  • Collate and maintain all relevant documentation throughout the process from advisors, auditors, and management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for accounting-related inquiries.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos and position papers.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others courteously and professionally.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
We are seeking someone with the following...
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Public accounting experience
  • 5+ years of related and progressive accounting experience
  • Strong current knowledge of US GAAP
  • Ability to research and provide relevant technical guidance to solve complex accounting problems.
  • Working knowledge of how to establish and maintain best practice processes and controls required throughout the technical accounting process.
  • Technical acumen, creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ERP & CPM skills and knowledge; Infor Syteline experience a plus; strong Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Manufacturing experience is aplus
  • International experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
