Technical Accounting Manager | Remote | $145K-$175K + 20% Bonus

A high-growth, private equity-backed organization is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join their dynamic accounting team.

This is a highly visible role supporting executive leadership, strategic transactions, external auditors, and cross-functional finance teams. The position offers significant exposure to complex accounting matters, policy development, M&A activity, and special projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead research, analysis, and documentation of complex U.S. GAAP matters
• Prepare and defend technical accounting memorandums and position papers
• Partner with executive leadership and external auditors on key accounting conclusions
• Serve as the accounting lead for acquisitions, business combinations, and strategic transactions
• Own accounting policy development and implementation
• Support technical areas including: ASC 718 | ASC 805 | ASC 606 | ASC 842
• Partner with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Tax, and Corporate Accounting teams
• Drive process improvements and scalable accounting solutions

Ideal Background

• CPA strongly preferred
• 7-10+ years of accounting experience
• Big 4 or large public accounting foundation strongly preferred
• Technical Accounting, Accounting Advisory, Financial Reporting, or Transaction Advisory experience
• Strong experience with technical accounting research and memo preparation
• Experience supporting M&A transactions and purchase accounting
• Ability to present complex accounting conclusions to senior executives and auditors
• Strong executive presence and communication skills
