Role Description:

We are looking to hire a talented Business Analyst having 8+ of experience to join the Advisory team in the Morgan Stanley. The Advisory team is responsible for maintaining and building systems for Advisory business. We are working on a Portfolio Management System to build the next generation of systems using latest technologies and techniques and hence are looking for a Business analyst to help drive the overall execution of new initiative at the same time support in existing trading related initiatives. 

Functional:

Should have experience in financial domain and understanding of portfolio management functions / Trading functions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail 

Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects.

Role Specific:

At least 8 years of hand-on Business Analyst experience

Extensive experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - Verification and Validation, Agile Scrum and Waterfall methodologies used for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software. 

Comprehensive knowledge in Technical and Business Writing, Data and Business Process Flow Modeling.

Proficient in writing Functional Specifications Document (FSD), Systems Requirements and Use Case 

Specifications:

Expertise in producing detailed User Stories in JIRA and using Fibonacci User Points for estimation to prioritize and manage Product Backlog and Sprint Backlog

Professional approach of interaction with Product Owners, business users and formation of use cases, use case diagrams, activity diagrams based on UML methodology employing tools like MS Visio

Expertise in facilitating meetings: Grooming, Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review and Sprint Retro

Ability to handle complex information with accuracy and attention to detail 

Working Experience with Trading Platforms and Financial Products: Equities, Mutual Funds, Options & Fixed income 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, building and maintaining relationships, self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities 

Preferred Qualification

Experience in wealth management or Asset management domains

Experience of working in successful technology transformation/simplification projects

Experience working with electronic trading platforms
