Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their team in El Segundo, CA!
Responsibilities:
Analyze financial and portfolio data to identify trends, gaps, and actionable insights that support business and investment decisions.
Design and develop SQL-driven analyses, not just reports, to answer complex business questions.
Partner with stakeholders to diagnose problems, challenge assumptions, and recommend data-backed solutions.
Evaluate and improve reporting logic, ensuring outputs are meaningful, accurate, and decision-ready.
Support development and enhancement of systems (trading workflows, liquidity tools) with a focus on business impact and usability.
Translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business outcomes.
Investigate data discrepancies and proactively identify root causes and solutions.
Balance strategic project work with real-time analytical support for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
25 years of experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or analytics-focused role.
Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to not just extract data but analyze and interpret it.
Experience working with stakeholders to frame problems, ask the right questions, and deliver insights.
Exposure to Python or analytical tools for deeper data analysis.
Experience working with financial, investment, or operational data preferred.
Demonstrated ability to connect data to business outcomes, not just produce outputs.
Ability to manage both structured projects and ambiguous analytical requests.
Pay Rate: $360 - $480/Day
