    The Field Service Technician will work out of Danieli Corporation Ashland, KY Service Center and travel potentially up to 50-70% of the time visiting customer sites, vendors and training opportunities.

    • Field Service Technician shall perform 'advisory' services
    • Hand tools: Technician must be able to use various hand tools to perform dismantling, setup, measurements and analysis of guide systems. This knowledge will be used to perform advisory services; not to perform the work
    • Services rendered will maintain the design criteria established by Danieli design engineers
    • Changes to equipment shall be discussed with Danieli management, prior to suggesting any changes
    • Control the work site to assure safety and final objectives
    • Drawings: Able to identify level of drawings and work within the Danieli drawings system.
    • Able to research drawings and other data to help resolve customer problems or questions
    • Computers:
    • Work within usual/customary MS Office software, i.e., Excel, Word, Project Management, Publish, (etc.) to perform assignments, filing and archiving of work
    • Planning: Evaluate site information, or distributed information and develop respective drawings and data
    • Maintain records of work
    • After assignments, technician shall have customer sign worksheets depicting hours and objectives performed. Engineer shall submit timesheet, expenses and customer report within 3 business days. All reports will follow company guidelines. Engineer shall use any data systems supplied by company for time and expense reporting.
    • 1-3 years' experience in industrial maintenance, being an automotive service technician/mechanic, or any other equivalent experience
    • Solid technical knowledge and experience
    • Able to solve most technical issues and minimal direction
    • Able to communicate technical issues effectively to customers
    • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
    • Experienced at dealing with multiple activities with minimum direction
    • Abide by OSHA Safety Standards
    • Willing to travel up to 70% internationally or domestically for training, customer sites, and vendor workshops.

    Job Brief description:

    The "Assembly Mechanical - Team Leader" manages and coordinates the workshop crew during the shift and ensures compliance with maintenance plans in full compliance with all regulations relating to workplace safety and environmental impact. Reports hierarchically to the workshop manager and manages a crew people during the work shift.

    • Supervise the workshop execution of refurbishment projects on wide range of DMH machines: gearboxes, ESS mandrels, BGV, GCC, shears and DWU down coilers.
    • Train the ass.bly workshop refurbishment personnel
    • Define the mechanical criticalities to support sales to issue a consistent specification
    • Define all mandatory and optional activities and spares jointly with PM and HQ refurbishment team.
    • Assess units' condition in order PM to issue detailed technical reports.
    • Approve technical disassembly reports
    • Define the timetable and let team to follow it.
    • Get in contact HQ Technical departments.
    • Excellent attention to "360°" to the whole refurbishment process with relevant customer approach.
    • Coordinate all concerned issues related to NCR.
    • Approve machine quality and fill dedicated FTR.
    • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
    • Must have good mechanical aptitude.
    • Must be able to use torch cutting equipment & set up and operator small job machinery such as drill press, manual lathe, grinder, mig/stick welder.
    • Must be willing to work overtime in the evenings and weekends when required.
    • Position requires lifting heavy objects more than 50 lbs.
    • Position requires plant floor activity 90% of the time in a non-climate environment.
    • Relevant steel industry experience is a major plus!
    • Pass pre-employment drug test, ongoing random drug testing. Physical lifting and audiogram testing.
    • Authorized to work in the USA.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent technical training
    • At least (3+) years' experience within the iron & steel industry, or at least (5+) years' experience in a similar role in a similar industry, with a strong mechanical background
    • Candidates who can demonstrate both strong knowledge and experience with Corrective and Preventative Maintenance and active experience and knowledge within maintenance role, specifically in the fields of Casting and/or Hot/Cold Rolling, will have an advantage
    • Position is drug screen and background contingent.

The Shift Leader manages and coordinates the workshop crew during the shift and ensures compliance with maintenance plans in full compliance with all regulations relating to workplace safety and environmental impact. Reports hierarchically to the workshop manager and manages a crew of people during the work shift.

    Maintenance Workshop Shift Leader performs a wide range of tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained. They will work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required. Some of the main tasks include:

    • Supervise, monitor and participate in individual maintenance operations by transmitting the guidelines and standards to the crew

    • Ensure that staff adhere to good safety practices and policies

    • Organize and maintain work areas

    • Identify, report and help resolve obstacles as they occur (examples: material shortages, design anomalies, quality issues and equipment failures)

    • Ensure accurate and timely completely of time and resource reporting records for work carried out during the shift, aided by the maintenance IT system

    • Identify opportunities, drive initiatives and promote continuous improvement of procedures, machinery and equipment to optimize safety, productivity and quality

    • Participate and contribute to root cause analysis exercises

    • Follow up on other activities as needed

    • High School Diploma or equivalent technical training

    • At least (3+) years' experience within the iron & steel industry, or at least (5+) years' experience in a similar role in a similar industry, with a strong mechanical background

    • Candidates who can demonstrate both strong knowledge and experience with Corrective and Preventative Maintenance and active experience and knowledge within maintenance role, specifically in the fields of Casting and/or Hot/Cold Rolling, will have an advantage

    • Willing to initially travel in the first year; 70% domestically and internationally for training and customer sites

    We are seeking an experienced Technical Buyer PII with a background in the steel or metallurgical industry to lead the strategy and execution of procurement activities for materials, critical spare parts, industrial equipment, and specialized technical services to join our team in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.

    This role is essential to ensuring the timely supply of mechanical components, electrical systems, automation equipment, steel structures, and technical services associated with steel plant projects and maintenance operations, while maintaining cost competitiveness, technical compliance, and operational continuity. The Technical Buyer PII will purchase machine components or subassemblies. The main activities are purchasing, managing requests for quotations, researching and selecting new suppliers where necessary, analyzing and negotiating proposals, and finalizing commercial agreements in accordance with the company's strategic objectives of cost, time, and quality.

    Tasks and Day-to-Day activities in the role:

    • Manage the full procurement cycle for industrial equipment, critical spare parts, consumables, and specialized technical services.
    • Develop sourcing strategies for steel plant projects, shutdowns, and major maintenance activities.
    • Negotiate technical and commercial contracts with machinery manufacturers, specialized workshops, system integrators, and international suppliers.
    • Review and analyze technical specifications (drawings, datasheets, BOMs) in coordination with Engineering and Maintenance teams and sending technical specifications and drawings to suppliers.
    • Evaluate and develop strategic suppliers within the steel industry, ensuring quality, compliance, and technical support.
    • Manage domestic and international procurement of components such as industrial bearings, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, instrumentation, and automation equipment.
    • Coordinate with Logistics for the importation of heavy equipment and oversized cargo.
    • Monitor KPIs focused on cost savings, on-time delivery for projects, downtime reduction, and optimization of critical spare parts inventory.
    • Identify supply chain risks (steel market volatility, industrial components, manufacturing lead times) and develop mitigation plans.
    • Participate in technical bidding processes and techno-commercial proposal evaluations.
    • Utilization of company tools such as ERP, Easybuy and other collaboration tools.
    • High school degree or bachelor's degree in mechanical field
    • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience within the steel, metallurgical, or heavy manufacturing industry.
    • Experience in purchasing industrial machinery, critical spare parts, and specialized technical services.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and industrial specifications.
    • Ability to understand the necessary machining and related value, for the items under procurement
    • Experience negotiating with national and international industrial suppliers.
