THE ROLE

As a Technical Consultant I, you will support the data conversion pipeline that enables municipal clients to migrate from legacy systems to Caselle's ERP platform. Working under the guidance of senior technical staff, you will write TSQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load client data into MSSQL databases in Caselle-compatible formats. You will validate conversion accuracy, troubleshoot data issues, and collaborate with System Consultants and Project Managers to meet project deadlines. This is an ideal role for someone with foundational SQL skills who wants to build deep expertise in ERP data conversion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Write TSQL queries and scripts to map and convert client data from existing sources into Caselle-compatible MSSQL database formats
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) customer data received in varying formats into structured MSSQL databases
• Validate converted data against source records to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness
• Assist clients with Caselle data layouts and formats used in the conversion process
• Troubleshoot data corruption, missing data, and formatting issues in client source files
• Utilize data mining and report-writing tools (e.g., Datawatch Monarch) to analyze and process client data
• Collaborate with System Consultants and Project Managers to coordinate conversion milestones and meet deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client data throughout the conversion process
• Document conversion processes and contribute to building repeatable procedures and templates

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• 1-3 years of experience working with TSQL, SQL Server, or relational databases in a professional setting
• Foundational understanding of ETL processes and data conversion concepts
• Ability to read and write TSQL queries, joins, and basic stored procedures
• Strong attention to detail-data accuracy is critical in this role
• Ability to manage multiple conversion tasks simultaneously and meet project deadlines
• Clear communication skills-able to work with both technical and non-technical team members
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Microsoft Office
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred

• Exposure to data conversion or migration projects in a software implementation context
• Familiarity with accounting, finance, or utility billing data structures
• Experience with data mining or report-writing tools
• Knowledge of municipal government or public sector data environments

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily office-based or remote role involving standard computer work. Minimal travel is required. The position requires the ability to manage moderate to high levels of stress associated with deadline-driven conversion projects.
