Technical Designer

Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Designer to oversee garment fit, construction, and product execution from concept through production. This role will partner closely with Design, Production, and overseas factories to ensure all products meet brand standards for fit, quality, comfort, and consistency across tween and junior size ranges.

The ideal candidate has strong technical design expertise in girls’ apparel, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced fashion environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed technical packages (tech packs) for all apparel categories.
• Develop garment specifications including measurements, grading, construction details, and workmanship standards.
• Review design sketches and translate creative concepts into production-ready technical documentation.
• Lead fit sessions and provide clear fit comments and corrections to vendors.
• Evaluate and approve fit, pre-production, TOP, and production samples.
• Collaborate with Design and Production teams to ensure product integrity throughout development.
• Manage size specifications and grading for tween and junior categories.
• Identify construction improvements that enhance fit, comfort, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure consistency across categories and seasonal collections.
• Communicate daily with overseas factories and vendors regarding fit, construction, and technical issues.
• Track sample status and maintain development calendars to meet production deadlines.
• Assist with fabric, trim, and construction approvals as needed.
• Maintain technical standards and quality control requirements across all products.
