We are seeking a
Technical Documentation Specialist with strong
SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) experience to support our client’s startup of a new production line. This remote contract role is ideal for a self-directed professional who can interpret equipment documentation, create equipment BOMs, and establish preventive maintenance programs within SAP.
Job Type: Contract (W2)Location: Remote Duration: Approximately November 2026 - April 2027 | Up to 40 hours/week
Pay: $30.00-$34.60 per hour, based on experience, technical expertise, industry background, and overall qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain Equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP using equipment manuals and vendor documentation.
- Register new parts in SAP while preventing duplicate records.
- Build and configure Time-Based Maintenance (PM02) plans for new production equipment.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to prioritize work and provide weekly progress updates.
- Support maintenance readiness and equipment reliability before line launch.
Required Qualifications- Hands-on experience creating Equipment BOMs in SAP.
- Knowledge of SAP processes for new part creation and duplicate prevention.
- Experience creating PM02 Time-Based Maintenance plans/work orders.
- Ability to independently interpret equipment manuals and BOM documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work remotely on CDT for Iowa business hours.
