Renson North America is seeking a skilled Technical Lead to join our growing team. The Technical Manager (Sales & Product Support) serves as the central technical authority supporting sales, product development, and service operations across North America.

 

This role bridges the gap between customers, sales teams, and technical functions by providing expert guidance on product applications, supporting complex projects, and driving continuous improvement of products and processes. The position combines hands-on technical support, training, and field involvement with strategic responsibilities such as product adaptation, partner support, and market feedback.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical guidance to sales teams, customers, architects, and designers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support pre-sales activities by reviewing specifications, recommending solutions, and assisting with complex or non-standard configurations
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, practical solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Participate in client meetings and support the closing of complex or high-value opportunities
  • Act as a key technical point of contact for dealers and partners across North America
  • Support inquiries related to product applications, configurations, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure alignment between sales, service, and technical expectations to improve the overall customer experience
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs, including onboarding sessions, webinars, and academies
  • Provide on-site support for installations and critical projects as needed
  • Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing to ensure consistent technical competency across stakeholders
  • Support the resolution of escalated service issues and jobsite challenges
  • Analyze recurring technical issues and collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive product and process improvements
  • Support the adaptation of products for the North American market, ensuring compliance with local standards and customer expectations
  • Collaborate with HQ, engineering, and production teams on product improvements and feasibility
  • Contribute to product development initiatives, including testing and validation
  • Provide structured feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights
  • Review and maintain technical documentation, including installation manuals, price books, and training materials
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability of all technical resources
  • Support the development of tools and processes that improve internal and external efficiency
  • Support trade show planning, including booth setup, technical content, and product demonstrations
  • Represent the company at industry events and customer engagements
  • Contribute to strengthening the company’s technical credibility and market presence
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in technical sales, product management, or technical support within construction, manufacturing, or building systems
  • Strong understanding of product application, installation processes, and project management
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders preferred

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Relevant technical certifications or training (preferred but not required)

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regular walking and standing, including on job sites and in factory environments
  • Occasional lifting of materials (up to 25 pounds)
  • Ability to travel and attend field visits, including outdoor conditions

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and project specifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, partners, and internal teams

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CRM systems and technical software tools preferred

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate measurements, ratios, and technical specifications relevant to projects

Reasoning Ability

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and adapt solutions to real-world applications

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Combination of office, remote, and field-based work
  • Exposure to factory environments, job sites, and varying weather conditions
  • Moderate to occasionally loud work environments

 

TRAVEL, WORK HOURS, SUPERVISION

  • Travel: Approximately 20–40% travel (customer sites, training, trade shows)
  • Work Hours:
    • Full time
    • Monday–Friday schedule
    • Flexibility based on project and travel needs
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
