    Technical Leader - Principal Mechanical Design EngineerFull-timeEducation Level: Bachelor's DegreeLegal entity: Nemera Insight ChicagoPosition PurposeThe technical leader oversees and guides mechanical design efforts across multiple programs. This position requires a motivated, results-driven design engineer with expertise in development and the ability to guide cross‑functional teams to accomplish objectives.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate & lead technical design team within one or more programs while working in a multi-disciplinary, multi-site environmentUnderstand priorities to develop and communicate action plans internally and externallyAssist in defining the planning and resources required to achieve the success of the technical design activities of programsIdentify potential problems early and suggest options based upon cost, time and requirementsDesign, build and test prototypes to characterize performanceSolve complex technical problems within the bounds of timing and cost constraintsWork with Nemera's injection molding tooling experts to successfully implement DFM and DFA into detailed designs ready for high-volume manufacturingGuide and mentor junior engineersPosition RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering7+ years of product development experienceStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.)Proficiency in CAD software, Solid Works and other relevant engineering toolsExperience with managing all technical aspects of device developmentExperience with high volume production, injection molding and automationPreferred Knowledge / SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead technical teams.Ability to network across the organization to support activities across multiple sitesExperience working in a consulting environmentFamiliar with the basics of electronics and softwarePosition Range$135,000 USD to $165,000 USD salaried (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
