About the Opportunity

We regularly seek experienced Technical Program Managers capable of leading technically complex, cross-functional initiatives from definition through delivery within large enterprise environments.

Strong TPMs understand enough of the underlying technology to challenge assumptions, identify dependencies, communicate effectively with engineering teams, and translate technical complexity into business decisions and executable plans.

What You May Do

• Lead complex technical programs involving engineering, product, business, and operational stakeholders.
• Define program scope, requirements, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success measures.
• Establish and manage program governance and execution rhythms.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to understand architecture, technical constraints, and delivery tradeoffs.
• Translate effectively between technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Drive issue resolution and remove blockers.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and competing priorities.
• Develop executive-ready program reporting and recommendations.
• Use data and metrics to evaluate delivery health and business outcomes.
• Support programs involving cloud platforms, AI, automation, enterprise applications, data, security, or emerging technologies.
• Apply AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, risk identification, communication, and program efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated Technical Program Management experience in complex enterprise technology environments.
• Strong understanding of software development and/or modern cloud technology fundamentals.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, product, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong program planning, dependency management, risk management, and execution skills.
• Ability to translate ambiguous technical challenges into structured plans.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
• Experience defining and measuring program success.
• Familiarity with cloud, AI, data, automation, security, or enterprise platform programs is highly valuable.
• Ability to influence across organizations without relying on direct authority.

AI Fluency Matters

AI fluency is increasingly important for technical program leadership.

We're interested in TPMs who understand the evolving AI landscape and can work effectively with teams delivering AI-enabled capabilities-even when they aren't personally building the models or agents.

Experience with generative AI, Copilot, AI agents, agentic workflows, responsible AI, AI-enabled product development, or AI program delivery is particularly valuable.

Just as importantly, we want to understand how you're using AI to make your own work faster, smarter, or more effective.

Compensation

Prime 8 uses different pay ranges based on level of position, relevant experience, specific candidate location, and engagement requirements. For opportunities of this type, a typical pay range is between $104,000 and $156,000 per year based on full-time employment, plus employee benefits. Compensation for a specific future opportunity may vary.
