Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with consumer electronics (e.g., laptops, phones, tablets etc.).
  • Experience triaging and analyzing technical bug reports to drive software requirements and program delivery.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with embedded systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working with teams in multiple time zones and locations.
  • Experience with BSP, Audio, Bluetooth and other connectivity technologies.
  • Experience in applying change management and continuous improvement methodologies within a high-growth engineering organization.
  • Experience working in low-level/embedded hardware and software.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The team is responsible for driving Wear OS, Pixel Watch, Fitbit tracker software features, improvements in foundational technologies, and bringing AI powered innovation to market with high quality and predictability.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full program lifecycle for Audio, BT offload, and Connectivity initiatives, ensuring alignment with product and engineering objectives on watch software products from concept to launch.
  • Manage dependencies and deliverables across engineering teams working on audio processing, Bluetooth stack optimization, and general device connectivity.
  • Manage vendor/OEM communication on technical topics and drive active work-streams with them.
  • Triage and assess the impact of technical issues related to audio and connectivity, and work to resolve tooling and process issues that support engineering execution.
  • Develop systems to identify continuous improvements and drive future optimizations for the audio and connectivity program space. Monitor and communicate program progress, risks, and mitigations to all stakeholders.
