Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager II, Display Algorithms to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in display technology, algorithm validation, and cross-functional hardware/software program execution and a proven ability to plan and deliver end-to-end validation milestones that ensure image quality on real hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute validation roadmaps and milestones spanning algorithm model development, hardware testing, prototype software validation, production software readiness, and human factors evaluations.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and execution across interdependent workstreams, including display hardware, testing, software, and architecture, ensuring dependencies are tracked and gaps are closed.
  • Coordinate hardware and resource allocation to maintain device availability and unblock validation timelines.
  • Continuously assess program risks, maintain a living risk register with clear owners and resolution paths, and drive mitigation plans.
  • Provide stakeholder communication through milestone readouts, validation results, risk summaries, and decision requests to engineering leadership and cross-functional partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as a technical program manager in hardware/software co-development programs.
  • 3+ years in display technology, image processing, algorithm validation, or related electro-optical systems engineering.
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership of complex, multi-workstream execution across hardware, firmware, and software teams with the ability to anticipate roadblocks and create paths forward.
  • Proven management of programs with significant hardware dependencies, including device allocation, prototype build schedules, and test infrastructure coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive decisions and assess validation readiness.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with experience presenting technical status and risk assessments to senior engineering leadership.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced development environments with evolving requirements and tight launch timelines.
  • Prior experience with client may supplement years or types of prior experience toward minimum qualifications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with display compensation algorithms and image quality pipelines.
  • Familiarity with display technology testing methodologies.
  • Experience managing 0-to-1 consumer device programs from prototype validation through mass production.
  • Knowledge of AR/VR/XR display systems, including near-eye display architectures and image quality metrics.
