General Purpose of Job
As a Technical Services Specialist at Quad, you'll play a pivotal role in connecting customers and sales executives with the technical expertise they need to succeed. From national and international customer engagement to design support, brand management, and global services coordination, your work spans the full spectrum of what it takes to bring innovative packaging solutions to life. You'll drive new product development and lead the research and implementation of cutting-edge equipment and software - making a real impact at scale.
Key Responsibilities
+ Serve as a key point of contact for both national and international customers, delivering responsive and knowledgeable technical support
+ Stay ahead of emerging technologies and collaborate with prepress, structural, and design groups - as well as manufacturing - to select and implement new equipment and systems
+ Work closely with finance, design, and IT teams to integrate and automate design systems with estimating processes.
+ Qualify and certify international locations to ensure consistent, high standards across the board
+ Engage with vendors to explore new technologies, ensure compliance, and qualify materials.
+ Provide recommendations and hands-on assistance in obtaining Quad Packaging’s technical certifications.
+ Support field service technicians in diagnosing and resolving technical issues
+ Assist with Prepress and Brand management tasks
+ Collaborate on Graphics and Structural Design and development projects
+ Project manage the implementation of new technologies and onboard new customers.
+ Coordinate Global Packaging projects
Job Requirements
+ Education: Minimum of three years’ experience in the folding carton and label industry.
+ Experience Preferred: Knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing and experience in structural design.
+ Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent people skills, polished presentation skills and strong project management abilities.
