What you will be doing:

You will play a critical role in helping library users of all types to find and use information sources, which is key to the effective operation of the Alaska State Library:

• by creating original catalog records in the Alaska Library Catalog (SirsiDynix Symphony) and OCLC, of published and unique content,
• by maintaining and updating bibliographic and holdings records, in accordance with local, state, and national standards,
• by sharing your expertise in a cooperative environment, providing input and/or guidance related to all aspects of the library catalog and metadata,
• by providing, as part of a team, public service at the Alaska State Library's front desk.

This position Andrew P. Kashevaroff Building in downtown Juneau, which we share with our colleagues in the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums. Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree from an accredited college in library or information science, media services, or a closely related field.
