Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Writer with 3 6 years of experience creating and updating service manuals and technical documentation for mechanical equipment, forestry machinery, or mining products.

Responsibilities

• Create, write, and update technical and service manuals for forestry and mining products.
• Understand technical requirements and documentation scope.
• Follow technical writing guidelines and proofread content for accuracy.
• Incorporate safety warnings, inspection checks, and graphic requirements into manuals.
• Create graphics and illustration requests as required.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.

Required Qualifications

• 3 6 years of experience in Technical Writing.
• Experience creating and updating technical or service manuals.
• Strong knowledge of technical documentation and content management systems (CMS).
• Experience with tools such as Arbortext Editor or Oxygen XML.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and follow documentation standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering stream, as specified in the original requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of forestry or mining products.
• Understanding of mechanical assemblies.
• Experience incorporating safety information, graphics, and illustrations into technical manuals.

Work Requirements

• Onsite work in Shawano, Wisconsin.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the team.

Salary / Rate: $25-28/hr on W2
