The Expressway Technician Academy is a 2-year, Department of Labor registered apprenticeship training program that prepares you for a career in automotive technology — at zero cost to you. Multiple brands. One future.

Pay Scale
Apprentices begin earning once they're contributing productive, billable shop hours — not from classroom instruction.

From there, pay grows as your skills do:
Shop entry pay ($10) intermediate increases as you advance ($12-$16) journey-level wage upon graduation ($20+)
 

The Expressway Technician Academy
Expressway Auto Group built ETA because developing the next generation of automotive technicians is the right investment — for our business, and for this community. This is a 2-year, hands-on apprenticeship training program designed to take motivated individuals with no prior experience and turn them into skilled, career-ready automotive technicians trained to the standards of one of Evansville's most established dealership groups.

 

How It Works
Every weekday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, apprentices split their time between structured classroom instruction and real shop work.

The program covers the full range of automotive systems. Depending on shop needs, apprentices may work on any of the brands in our dealership group, building versatile, real-world experience across multiple vehicle lines.
