Hole in the Wall Drywall Repair of Chicago Metro is hiring Entry-Level Technician Apprentice helpers to learn the trade and grow with our team. Perfect for hardworking individuals eager to start a career in construction!

Responsibilities

• Develop trade skills in drywall installation and painting
• Assist skilled technicians with drywall and painting projects
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Prepare job sites and maintain cleanliness
• Learn proper tools, materials, and techniques
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Communicate with crew leaders and team members
• Support crew with measurements and material prep

Requirements

• Should possess a valid driver's license and be legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle in Illinois
• Should have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets company and commercial auto insurance requirements which can vary by vendor:
  • No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years
  • No reckless driving convictions within the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 moving violation within the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 at-fault accident within the past 5 years
  • No current suspension or revocation of driving privileges
• Must be able to safely operate company-owned commercial vans and transport tools, materials, and equipment
• Employment involving company vehicle operation is contingent upon successful completion of a driving record review and approval under company insurance requirements
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment
• Prior experience in construction (home services), drywall installation/repair experience preferred
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
