Technician II - Non-Exempt

Join our team in Plainfield, IN, where you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to a variety of technical projects. We are looking for a skilled technician to perform a range of duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

Must Have

• Computer literacy, including proficiency with office suite software.

Nice to Have

• SAP knowledge
• Experience with work order processing

Responsibilities

• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
• Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
• Provide technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development.
• Use schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
• Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established formulae and procedures, and perform detailed mathematical calculations.

Additional Information

• Need to be on site each day
• Work under moderate supervision, performing tests, interpreting data, and developing reports.
• Perform intermediate technical activities requiring judgment and decision-making.
• Communicate typically with internal contacts, obtaining and providing technical information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
• May provide guidance and assistance to new or entry-level employees.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Basic job knowledge of systems, techniques, and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
