Perform self-inspections using established manufacturing and internal procedure checklists.
Verify equipment calibration status and identify expired materials or equipment requiring attention.
Respond promptly to customer and engineering inquiries, acknowledge service requests, and coordinate timely resolution of technical issues.
Communicate effectively with engineering colleagues and stakeholders, provide progress updates, document issues, and escalate problems when necessary.
Support environmental chamber operations and other laboratory testing activities as required.
Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or at least four years of equivalent relevant experience.
Relevant experience in an engineering lab, technical customer service environment, data center, or field service technician role.
Hands-on experience with hardware or electronics troubleshooting and test equipment setup, maintenance, or support.
Ability to read and follow technical instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and related documentation.
Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage customer interactions and technical service requests.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and remain accountable in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety, equipment reliability, and established procedures.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF documents, and technical documentation.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds of equipment for bench setup and laboratory support.
Familiarity with electronic test instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), signal generators, and signal analyzers.
Experience setting up cable connections between test equipment and devices under test (DUTs).
Ability to solder and rework printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), including surface-mount technology (SMT), through-hole components, wires, terminals, and fine-pitch components.
Knowledge of test instrumentation hardware and software.
Experience operating and supporting environmental chambers.
Basic user-level knowledge of Unix/Linux or Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals, enterprise switches, and routers.
Experience with equipment calibration, inventory management, preventive maintenance, and laboratory quality procedures.
