This candidate must possess strong communication skills in order to provide technical assistance and support for JCPS staff. Primary areas of responsibility include supporting technical needs across the district, ensuring account creation and management of district technology systems, providing oversight and support with district and site inventories, providing guidance for technology related purchases, serving as a liaison between the schools and the technology teams, and communicating with vendors to provide and maintain most current and efficient technologies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the technical needs and technical support staff across the district.
Utilize technology incident management system to receive work assignments, escalate issues as necessary, resolve, and provide notations as needed and close incidents.
Manage and monitor the district account provisioning system; troubleshoot account incidents and communicate corrective steps to appropriate stakeholder(s).
Provide assistance with technology inventories and assets at the district and site levels.
Work with sites on following the Technology Finance Procedures.
Manage Gaggle student safety services.
Provide the district guidelines, quotes, and support for all technology related purchases.
Utilize the JCPS maintenance and technology support platform.
Serve as a liaison between the schools, the support teams, and the technology teams.
Collaborate with the tech team and vendors to obtain quotes for the district.
Maintain technology department fleet inventory and maintenance.
Provide office support to the supervisor and Technology Services department.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree, preferably in Information Technology or Business from an accredited college/university or equivalent training and/or experience.
Ability to multi-task and function independently.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms.
Must have a valid North Carolina driver''s license.
Strong knowledge of Gmail and Google Apps for Education
Ability to use Excel spreadsheets.
Must be able to frequently or consistently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing 10 lbs or more.
Due to the amount of time spent standing and/or walking or other physical requirements are consistent with those for light to medium work.
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.
