Position Purpose:
Install and maintain overhead and underground fiber optic systems. Perform, all responsibilities of telecommunication aerial maintenance and line work which may include installing and removing several anchors systems and lashing and de-lashing existing cable.
Key Responsibilities:
Experience in OSP Fiber pulling and installations
Understanding of separation and clearance
Knowledge of ADSS fiber cable construction and
Job includes operating bucket trucks to Lash and De-Lash existing & new cable
Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment
Knowledge of lashing
Install and remove down guy/anchor, sidewalk arms, and guy guards
Be proficient in pole climbing and working from Hooks/Gaffs.
Read and interpret engineering
Prepare daily production
Complete paperwork, time sheets, test results, vehicle inspection, and
Help coordinate local utilities, when
Schedule plant related activities for construction and
Submit reports on all construction activities, daily, weekly and monthly as
Attend training classes in new technology and safety as
Operate Company vehicles safely.
Frequently sitting, standing, climbing, and bending.
Occasional standing, walking,kneeling and crawling are

The physical demands described here are typical of those that must be met by a team-member to perform the essential functions of their job in powerline construction.
While performing the responsibilities of this job, team-members require talking or listening. The job frequently requires the team-member to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The team-member frequently requires performing rigorous physical labor; sit; climb different types of structures (wood, steel); balances; and stoop, kneels, crouches or crawls. Team membersfrequently lift or move up to, or in-excess of 80 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the responsibilities of this job, team-members may frequently experience fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Team members are occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction sites. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Employees perform powerline construction work outside and subject it to diverse weather conditions.

Required Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in all aspects of Aerial Construction
DOT Health Card required to operate a bucket truck
Valid and unrestricted Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Able to read/write and understand aerial drawings
Able to lift an excess of 75-80 lbs.
Ability to work at heights of 20+ feet
Ability to communicate effectively
Able to travel long distances at short notice
Able to work for extended periods in multiple locations
Willing to work overtime when requested
Willing to Travel
Willing to work nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
CDL License is preferred and ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
