iQuasar LLC is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer. iQuasar is an 18+-year-old Northern Virginia company delivering recruitment, proposal development, digital marketing, software development and IT solutions to Small and Medium Business (SMB) Government contractors in technology and Civil Engineering verticals.


One of our client’s needs a Telecommunications Engineer and the position is remote

Position: Telecommunications Engineer

Location: Remote


Position Type: Full-time


Visa Status: US Citizen

Salary: Above $60k/year
 
 Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Citizenship & Suitability: U.S. Citizenship required; must be clearable to pass a DHS Background Investigation (T6 / High Risk Public Trust).
• Avaya Hands-on Experience: Proven experience administering, programming, and troubleshooting Avaya hardware, IP Office / Aura / Communication Manager, and associated voice applications.
• Remote Deployment: Experience remotely configuring and preparing phone systems prior to on-site hardware rollouts.
• MACD & Operations: Daily moves, ads, changes, ticket queue resolution, and carrier/vendor escalations.
• Network & Cabling Basics: Solid understanding of physical cabling/jacks, IP addressing, networking ports/port security, and LAN/WAN fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for federal customer support.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Experience with Avaya CORE programming, system setups, or PBX consolidations.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
